There are two ways to get to and from Block Island: ferry or small plane.

Block Island Ferry’s services are available year-round from Point Judith, RI. and seasonally from Newport, RI, New London, CT and Montauk Point, NY. Check with carriers regarding high-speed service and vehicle reservations.

Daily scheduled flights are available between Block Island and Westerly Airport. Air service is also available from the Montauk Point Airport, and T.F. Green Airport in Providence, as well as charter flights from many additional locations.

We recommend purchasing tickets well in advance as bookings for both ferries and planes fill up quickly during the summer months. There are car, moped, and bike rentals on the island. For those who would like to bring their car to the island, you will need to book at least 2 months in advance.
